I've always told myself that I'm bad at recovering from workouts.
Starting today, I'm going to tell myself how much better I can be at recovering from hard workouts. This shift in mindset will change how my body reacts after a hard session and accelerate the recovery process.
While my brain and body make these changes, here's what I use to speed up recovery.
Scraper - I love these tools especially because they let me dig into spots that other recovery tools canโt get to. Here is the set that I got {affiliate link}
Compression Boots - Iโve written about my pair, but then our gym went and got 4 pairs of Normatecs, which are lovely. Plus, when youโre in them, the comfy chairs completely invert so not only are you getting the benefits of the boots, but then youโre also letting the gunk flow out of your legs.

Massage Sticks - simple, yet very effecftive at breaking up sore muscles. You canโt go wrong with throwing one of these in your travel bag to help post-workout.
Foam Rollers - Traditional foam rollers are great at big muscle soreness, but I also like the ones with knobs on which help get in tighter spots (hello shoulders and back).
Massage Gun - I have two great massage guns, but I havenโt been as actively using them as I might need to. I have written about them here, so Iโll share that, but we all know how great a massage gun is. Iโm also linking to a great podcast episode talking about massage guns being invented and that process.
