The end is near. Of 2022 at least.
Here’s my Friday 4 - Holiday edition. Enjoy! Leave a comment, share it on social, or give it a like.
1. Just like Elon, sometimes it's better to cut your losses and move on from whatever is holding you back. Maybe it's a run that goes south or a training plan that isn't a good fit, cutting ties and moving on may actually be better in the long run.
2. The end of the year is a great time to set goals for next year. some of my goals include being consistent with strength training and caring less about running mileage and more about time spent working (cross training + running + strength). What goals do you have for the upcoming year?
3. Commit to the training. I just had a student give me a holiday card saying she can't wait for spring track. This. Is. Gold. Whatever level of running you're at, commit to getting better. Set your sights on a race and work backwards to how you'll reach your goal.
4. New blog post went up yesterday. In it, I recap how my sub-5 minute mile went + give you workouts for you to try to run a fast mile. My goal is to have a new blog go out every other week - if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to read about, leave a comment or reply and I'll get to work!
Bonus: Don’t forget that I opened up a shop - shirts, singlets, coozies + 2023 digital training logs are all up there for sale!
Have questions? Reply to the email and I’ll get back to you.
