I’ll start off by saying Happy New Year!
Some of you might be reading this with quite the headache this morning - I understand. I promise: I’ll keep it brief for you.
This was certainly a long year, but I think what hasn’t destroyed us has only made us stronger.
We learned a lot about ourselves this year; I know I have. What we once took for granted - like a commute to work - and much, much more have totally been flipped upside down.
Here are just a few of the many things I’ve come to appreciate this year:
Training early in the morning before everyone wakes up.
I am keenly aware of geese now, something I wasn’t prior to April 28th.
Races and events are to be cherished.
Strava doesn’t lie.
“Challenges” are sufficient motivation for me to train.
I miss coaching in person.
If you’re still in the market for a 2021 training log, you can reply to this and Venmo me $15.
Friday’s Action Plan:
Start the year strong with a focus on a long-term approach, rather than being a flash in a pan.
