Here's to a Healthy 2021

Make the most of the flip of the calendar

I’ll start off by saying Happy New Year!

Some of you might be reading this with quite the headache this morning - I understand. I promise: I’ll keep it brief for you.

This was certainly a long year, but I think what hasn’t destroyed us has only made us stronger.

We learned a lot about ourselves this year; I know I have. What we once took for granted - like a commute to work - and much, much more have totally been flipped upside down.

Here are just a few of the many things I’ve come to appreciate this year:

  • Training early in the morning before everyone wakes up.

  • I am keenly aware of geese now, something I wasn’t prior to April 28th.

  • Races and events are to be cherished.

  • Strava doesn’t lie.

  • “Challenges” are sufficient motivation for me to train.

  • I miss coaching in person.

If you’re still in the market for a 2021 training log, you can reply to this and Venmo me $15.

Friday’s Action Plan:

Start the year strong with a focus on a long-term approach, rather than being a flash in a pan.
