The one spot in your house where you can draw some inspiration from: the Runner’s Cave. Do you have a spot like that? You might have some medals or trophies? Possibly some quotes or motivation? Maybe a few photos of you kicking butt?
In this week’s blog, I wrote all about the “runner’s cave” Carly and I (really me) are starting to put together in our office. Since both of us are more coach than athlete these days, every once in a while we need to draw upon motivation to keep the intensity sky high for our athletes/clients.
We do this with some help, obviously. Our office has Villanova gear from my heyday and it has a whole bookcase section on running - novels, coaching theory, and magazines to provide us with a boost if we need it.
Lastly, our growing runner’s cave is packed with workout equipment to keep up in tip-top shape.
Your runner’s cave doesn’t have to be packed with everything we have in ours, but a spot full of motivational items is sure to help get you out the door when the going gets tough.

Friday’s Action Plan:
Find a quote that really speaks to you and print it out using Canva (here’s a quick tutorial I made about Canva).
If you’re not a quote person, put together the 3-5 pieces of workout equipment that you always use and store them in one central location.
