Let’s face it: most of us are tuned into the news about the Coronavirus. Should we panic? Should we not care? Everyone has an opinion. Whether you believe the Coronavirus is in fact very deadly or not deadly at all, we are all under some kind of stress.
While you don’t want this to be an opinion piece on whether I think schools should close, the NBA should suspend their season, or races should be canceled, this is a good place for us to talk about whether action should take place.
Yes - you should continue washing your hands and taking every precaution possible to not infect you or your loved ones.
Yes - you should listen to credible sources and take the advice they are giving.
No - you should not criticize those who had to make VERY tough choices to cancel, postpone or move an event due to Covid-19.
No - you shouldn’t panic. Move, act, and behave calmly and with every belief that we, as a society, will get past this.
Whether your race has already been canceled or you think it might be, you should still train and live your life. Take precautions so you don’t get sick, but also, it’s my opinion, that you shouldn’t live in fear.
Friday’s Action Plan:
Have a plan and a backup plan lined up in case your race or event gets canceled, postponed or moved to a later date.
